A Message From The Couple

The time has finally come!

With joyful hearts (and a little bit of shaadi sparkle), we’re so excited to begin this new chapter together. After years of love and laughter, we’re finally ready for our happily ever after.

We’re heading to sunny Mexico at the beautiful Majestic Mirage Costa Mujeres to make it all official, because we figured, why knot do it in paradise?

Join us for a vibrant, multi-day celebration filled with music, dancing, and the rich traditions that bring our families together. From haldi glow-ups to a baraat that (hopefully) stays somewhat coordinated, and a Sangeet where the dance floor will absolutely not stay empty, we’re expecting full Bollywood energy!

Think: DDLJ meets a destination wedding… a little less running through mustard fields, a lot more ocean views and cocktails

This isn’t just a wedding. It’s a full-on vacay with nonstop desi vibes!

Please be sure to RSVP at your earliest convenience. So, don’t make us go “kyaaa?!” over your missing RSVP.

Our website has all the details to help you plan and celebrate with us.

We’ll be updating it regularly, so check back often, because in true Indian wedding fashion, there’s always something happening.

So pack your bags, bring your best outfits (yes, plural), and get ready for sun, sand, and shaadi—what more could you need?

With love,

Raveena & Shreyank

ITINERARY

THE WEDDING WEEK
Nov 26, 2026

Welcome Party

We’re kicking things off with a warm welcome to Mexico, good food, great company, and the perfect start to a weekend full of shaadi celebrations. Ease in, mingle, and save some energy… you’ll need it.

Time: 6PM

Dress Code: Cocktail Attire (Indian or Western)

Chic, effortless, and vacation ready. Flowy silhouettes, tailored looks, and lightweight fabrics. Think “destination glam,” not overdressed, not underdressed … just right.

Grah Shanti, Haldi & Sangeet

From calm and meaningful to full-on celebration mode! Day 2 is a journey.

Grah Shanti

We begin with a peaceful ceremony to bless the groom and invite all the good energy into the celebrations ahead.

Time: 9AM

Dress Code: Traditional

Soft, breathable, and easy. Shades of yellow, mustard, or orange are perfect. Keep it simple, comfortable, and morning appropriate.

Haldi

No break, no pause we go straight into Haldi. Things get brighter, louder, and a little messier (in the best way).

Time: 10:30AM

Dress Code: Traditional

No need to change between Pooja and Haldi (unless you want an outfit moment).

Stick to yellows, oranges, and sunshine tones and don’t wear anything you’re emotionally attached to.

Sangeet & Mehndi

Now we turn it all the way up. Performances, dancing, mehndi, and a dance floor that will not be ignored.

Time: 7:00PM

Dress Code: Jewel Tones

Go bold rich, festive, vibrant, and dramatic. If it sparkles a little, even better.

Baraat & Wedding Ceremony

The main event. High energy, big emotions, and unforgettable moments.

Baraat

This is not an entrance, it's a full celebration. Dhol, dancing, and zero spectators. If you’re there, you’re in it.

Dress Code: Festive & Comfortable

Wear something you can dance in. Comfortable shoes are your best decision of the day. Indian attire is preferred but not required.

Wedding Ceremony

The heart of it all. A beautiful ceremony filled with traditions, meaning, and a few emotional moments.

Dress Code: Formal / Traditional

Please do not wear red, the bride has claimed it, no sharing!

Think sunset-friendly tones. elegant, timeless, and photo ready. Indian attire is preferred.

Reception

The grand finale! An evening under the stars filled with music, dancing, and celebration as we close out the weekend in style.

Dress Code: Glitz & Glam | Black Tie Optional

Dress to impress for a night of celebration under the stars. Indian or Western attire work beautifully. The vibe is elevated, glamorous, and just the right amount of extra.

OUR LOVE STORY

CAPTURED MOMENTS

Akhil and Bhavna’s love story begins from their college days. Akhil tried multiple times to get Bhavna’s attention and ultimately failed. Fast forward a few years, and fate decided to give it another shot. Akhil was invited to Bhavna’s 21st birthday, and in true Akhil fashion, he didn’t hold back. Confidently, he asked Bhavna if she’d be his plus one for the evening. What she didn’t know was that she was signing up to be his plus one for the rest of her life. They spent their whole first year just as “friends” , or as inside joke they used to call each other “fam”. Turns out, Bhavna had a crush on Akhil since high school but she was playing hard to get….for YEARS!!

Through their first year of being “friends,”, Bhavna was completing her MBA and Akhil was trying to get into Dental School. They built such a deep friendship and connection, that they became inseparable. Study sessions became dinners, dinners became late night phone calls, late night phone calls became all night phone calls. Their feelings grew and slowly but surely, they fell in love.

Eventually, a whole year later on Valentine’s Day, Akhil asked Bhavna to be his girlfriend (huge mistake, very expensive day).

From then on, their connection continued to deepen. Through every phase of life, building their careers, laughs, and all the growing pains, Bhavna and Akhil stuck by each other. Finally, after 7 years of being “fam”, as Akhil graduated Dental school, he knew that he had to make sure Bhavna knew how important she was to him. He saved for years to buy Bhavna’s engagement ring and was finally able to propose — thank god she said yes!

AND NOW! Bhavna and Akhil are throwing their BIG FAT INDIAN WEDDING in Cancun Mexico and are officially becoming Mr. & Mrs. “Fam”. They couldn’t imagine starting this new chapter of their lives without you by their side.
